By accessing or using the Mr. Converter website and its services (collectively, the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), and agree to be legally bound by them.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with any of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Maksudur Rahaman, the creator and operator of Mr. Converter ("we," "us," or "our").

Mr. Converter is a client-side, browser-based file conversion platform. It allows users to convert files between various formats — including images, documents, audio, video, and more — entirely within their web browser using WebAssembly technology. The Service currently supports over 290 file format conversions.

The Service is provided entirely free of charge, with no file size limits imposed at the platform level (your browser's available RAM may act as a practical limit for very large files), no watermarks on output, and no subscription required.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.

You are permitted to:

• Convert any legal, personal, or business files you own or have rights to convert.
• Use the converted output files for any personal, commercial, or creative purpose.
• Share the Mr. Converter website with others, including embedding links in articles or social media.
• Use the Service for both personal and professional/commercial projects at no cost.

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using our Service. Engaging in any of these may result in your access being blocked:

• Illegal Content: Processing files that contain, depict, or facilitate illegal activities, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), which is strictly prohibited and will be reported to relevant authorities.
• Reverse Engineering: Attempting to decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any portion of our website, source code, or WebAssembly modules.
• Automated Scraping / Abuse: Using automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to make excessive requests to our website in a manner that disrupts the service for other users.
• Misrepresentation: Claiming that you are affiliated with Mr. Converter or using our branding in any way that implies endorsement without our explicit written consent.
• Infringement: Knowingly processing files that violate third-party intellectual property rights, trademarks, or copyrights.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including:

• Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
• That the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• That conversion results will be perfectly accurate or meet your specific expectations for all file types.
• That any errors in the Service will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Mr. Converter, its creator (Maksudur Rahaman), or any associated parties be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss or corruption of data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
• Business interruption or loss of profits arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Any errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in the converted files.

The Service and its original content — including but not limited to the website design, UI/UX, custom API integrations, and branding — are and shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of Maksudur Rahaman and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Your Files

You retain 100% ownership of all files you process using Mr. Converter. We claim no intellectual property rights over the content of the files you input or the converted output files you download.

Open-Source Components

Mr. Converter relies on several open-source libraries (e.g., FFmpeg.wasm, pdf-lib, libvips). These are used in accordance with their respective open-source licenses (primarily LGPL, MIT). Our use of these libraries does not transfer any ownership rights in those libraries to you.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mr. Converter and its creator, Maksudur Rahaman, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of and access to the Service in violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party right, including any copyright, intellectual property, or privacy right.
• Any claim that your use of the Service caused damage to a third party.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date shown at the top of this page. We may also (but are not obligated to) provide notice of major changes via a banner on the website.

We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modifications, suspension, or discontinuance.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach thereof, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute amicably through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be settled through negotiation within 30 days, it shall be submitted to the competent courts located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other term or provision of these Terms or invalidate or render unenforceable such term or provision in any other jurisdiction.
